Hello Clayton!
I am ecstatic to care for your furry family members! I was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, but raised in Harnett County, where I attended Overhills High School. I started in this career over 20 years ago as a veterinary assistant. I spent my undergraduate years at North Carolina State University, earning my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I was a NC State cheerleader and proudly cheered on the Wolfpack! GO PACK! I remained at the university to attend their College of Veterinary Medicine and earned my Doctorate.

The east coast beaches of Florida is where I grew up swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. My early jobs found me working in restaurants, where I worked my way up from waiting tables to eventually managing 5-star dining at country clubs while in college. The restaurant management business taught me hospitality and customer service, however, once I adopted my first dog as a young adult and started taking him to the vet, I realized I had found my career passion. I then changed my major, left my restaurant career and started working in animal hospitals. I am grateful enough to have worked as a kennel assistant, a veterinary assistant, and as a receptionist. As a practicing veterinarian, I find it very beneficial that I have worked in all the positions as it has provided me insight into how every position contributes to the care of your pet.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude with my undergraduate degree in Biology and Business from the University of North Florida, then went on to graduate from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Go Gators! My future goal was then to own my own hospital and intertwine my hospitality career with veterinary career after first taking the time to gain extensive veterinary experience.
After graduating, I spent many years practicing small animal medicine in Florida before following my husband’s career which eventually landed us in North Carolina in 2015. We absolutely love it here and find it a wonderful blend of the mountains while still getting to enjoy the ocean, which is how the name Stonewater was created. Although moving around a bit had its challenges, the benefit was gaining valuable experience diagnosing and caring for a wide variety of cases, as well as seeing many different hospital management and team structures.
After practicing in the Fuquay-Varina area for several years, my husband and I began working on my future dream of starting my own veterinary hospital. We have two daughters who are excited to help out as well as a standard poodle mix at home named Sunshine Guacamole. We enjoy good times with friends and family, the great foodie experiences of living in the Triangle region, the outdoors, and traveling. As someone who is extremely passionate about veterinary medicine, I am continuously seeking education opportunities which allow me to deliver the best treatment for my patients. Throughout the year, I attend continuing education events to stay up to date on the latest in animal health. My current memberships include the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. In addition, I am an Accredited Veterinarian with the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services and a Certified Volunteer with the ASPCA National Field Investigations and Response Team. I have volunteered my time to help with veterinary exams, treatment, and even surgeries of large volume hurricane rescue operations as well as hoarding police seizures. Being a part of my local community and giving back is something I want to continue to provide where I can.
I am excited to get to know the people of Clayton and build my vet family. It is important for me to provide the best veterinary care possible in a general medicine setting while having a friendly and fun work atmosphere. Having happy employees includes creating a practice with a work life balance where we are all refreshed and love coming to work every day and is something I am passionate about infusing into Stonewater. I look forward to building a strong dedicated team who are proud to be part of the Stonewater Family and a practice where you are comfortable bringing your beloved family pet.

Hello Clayton!
I am ecstatic to care for your furry family members! I was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, but raised in Harnett County, where I attended Overhills High School. I started in this career over 20 years ago as a veterinary assistant. I was a NC State cheerleader and proudly cheered on the Wolfpack! GO PACK! I remained at the university to attend their College of Veterinary Medicine and earned my Doctorate.
Following graduation, I practiced veterinary medicine in Fayetteville for five years. I then moved to Clayton and cared for many pets in Raleigh and Rolesville. I became a member of the Stonewater Veterinary team in the Summer of 2023. I am particularly passionate about soft tissue surgery and preventative care. I absolutely love educating owners so they can make the best decisions for their pets. My goal is to provide you with the best care possible so your pet can live a long, good quality life by your side!
In my time away from the office, I enjoy watching TV, going to the movies, fine dining, traveling, attending festivals and other community events, visiting amusement parks, and spending time with my family, which includes my husband (Logan), two daughters (Eden and Mila), son (Landon), and pitbull (Titus).
I can’t wait to meet you all and build strong, long lasting relationships!
